May 2025: “Small Steps, Big Impact”
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We centered our Instagram content around real, actionable ways to take care of your mental health—one breath, one journal prompt, one grounding moment at a time. Through powerful affirmations, daily mindfulness practices, interactive check-ins, and reflections, we explored how awareness becomes action—and how that action can transform everything from our habits to our healing. Here’s a sneak peek of what we covered this month:
🌿 Mindfulness & Grounding Tools:
We invited our community to pause, whether with a 3-day grounding challenge, a mind-body reset, or simple breathwork reminders. We practiced noticing tension, reconnecting to our senses, and finding strength in stillness.
🧘 “Let’s take 3 deep breaths together…”
🌬️ “Where are you holding stress right now?”
👣 “Feel your feet on the floor. You’re supported.”
✍️ Journal Prompts & Self-Reflection:
Each week offered thoughtful ways to connect with your inner world, from writing a grateful letter from your future self to checking in with your body: “If my body could talk…”
📝 What’s something you want to do but fear is holding you back?
💬 What’s one small step you can take toward your goal?
📚 Therapy & Support:
We talked about the real stuff: finding the right therapist, outgrowing the wrong one, and how to get the most out of therapy without putting pressure on yourself to “have it all figured out.” Therapy isn’t linear, but it is powerful.
✨ “You’re not failing at therapy just because it’s hard.”
📖 And yes, we even shared our current therapy bookshelf recs (because healing looks good on your nightstand, too).
📊 Polls, Prompts & Questions:
We checked in with you, and you checked in with yourselves:
💭 “Which is harder: saying no or asking for help?”
🙋 “What’s your go-to coping skill?”
📦 “If you could give your younger self advice, what would you say?”
💬 Real Talk from the Community
We featured messages of gratitude from clients and followers who reminded us why this work matters. Healing is hard, but it’s easier when we do it together.
🗓️ Special Observances We Highlighted:
Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week
National Anxiety & Depression Awareness Week
World Maternal Mental Health Day
…and the core message of the month: “Turn Awareness into Action.”
This month was filled with simple yet profound reminders:
✨ Your mental health matters.
✨ You can be both healing and struggling.
✨ You’re allowed to ask for help, and to rest.
✨ You’re already doing better than you think.
