Individual Therapy for Adults in NYC

Individual Therapy

You’re not in crisis.

From the outside, your life may look exactly as it should. You show up, meet expectations, take care of responsibilities, and keep moving forward. But underneath it all, you’re exhausted by the pressure to hold everything together.

Maybe you’re constantly overthinking. Maybe you’re carrying anxiety that never fully turns off. Maybe you’ve spent so long being the reliable one that you’ve lost touch with what you need.

Individual therapy begins with a simple question: What are you dealing with that feels heavier than it should?

Together, we’ll explore the patterns, experiences, and expectations that shape how you move through the world. We’ll make sense of what feels stuck, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and create space for a life that feels more connected, intentional, and meaningful.

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply and discovering new ways of being that feel authentic to who you are.

Free 15-minute consultations are available to help you get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If something feels off and you’ve been carrying it alone, that’s reason enough. People seek therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, identity concerns, perfectionism, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem, and a desire for personal growth. You do not need to be in crisis to begin therapy.

02. What does a first session look like?

We spend time getting to know each other. You share what’s been going on, I ask questions, and together we start to figure out what you need.

03. Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before starting?

Not at all. Many people begin therapy with a general sense that something feels difficult, unclear, or unsatisfying. Part of the process is creating space to understand what matters most and identify goals together.

04. How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to establish consistency and build momentum. Frequency can be adjusted over time based on your goals and needs.

05. What does successful therapy look like?

Success looks different for everyone and may include increased insight, stronger relationships, greater emotional flexibility, and feeling more connected to yourself and your values.

06. Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Sessions are available in-person in NYC or via telehealth across New York State.
