About Making Meaning Psychology

Therapy, rooted in the Greek word for healing, is the cornerstone of Making Meaning Psychology. Driven by an unwavering passion for psychology, we recognize that healing is unique for each individual. We prioritize forming collaborative partnerships and using evidence-based practices to assist clients in uncovering strengths, navigating challenges, and finding new paths to fulfillment and well-being. Beyond individual care, we actively advocate for mental health awareness and strive to dismantle stigma, firmly believing in the essential nature of psychological well-being for all.

About Dr. Didia

I approach each client as an individual with their own unique history and experiences and draw from multiple schools of thought to create a treatment plan that matches the client and their goals. I recognize no two people are alike and each client brings their own experiences, feelings and life history to the sessions. Therefore, each session will be a collaborative experience working together to not only reduce current distress but also explore and address the root causes of the distress.

I am trained in many different treatment modalities including but not limited to psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) across all age groups. I have extensive experience working with clients with anxiety, depression and trauma, as well as interpersonal problems and struggles during transitional periods of life. When working with clients, I draw upon my each of these experiences and my extensive education to offer them insights, techniques, and skills.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College, with a minor in Television and Radio. I received two Master’s Degrees from Pace University in both General Psychology (M.A.) and Education (M.S.Ed.) and a Doctorate Degree in combined school-clinical, child psychology (Psy.D.) from Pace University. My professional experiences include working in schools, clinics, hospitals and private practices with clients of all ages, levels of functioning and various cultural backgrounds and identities.
