About Us
Paulette Didia, Psy.D.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a free consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit.
Meet Dr. Didia
Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Founder of Making Meaning Psychology
Hi! I’m Dr. Paulette Didia. As a clinical psychologist, I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the complexity of your lived experience. Therapy is a true partnership where together we draw from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs. No two people are the same, and your therapy shouldn’t be either. Whether we are forcusing on short-term skill-building or deeper exploration, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered.
Philosophy & Approach to Therapy
I specialize in supporting individuals of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and relationship challenges. I combine my clinical training with real-world experience to provide insights, techniques, and tools that fit your story and goals.
Education & Professional Background
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College, with a minor in Television and Radio. I received two Master’s Degrees from Pace University in both General Psychology (M.A.) and Education (M.S.Ed.) and a Doctorate Degree in combined school-clinical, child psychology (Psy.D.) from Pace University. I’ve worked in schools, clinics, hospitals, and private practices with clients from all walks of life. One thing that remains constant: therapy works best when it feels human. My clients often say it feels like a real conversation where they are seen, understood, and supported.
