Calm the Noise. Keep the Momentum.
Therapy in New York for professionals who want fewer “what-ifs,” stronger boundaries, and a clearer mind.
Get Out of the Spiral and Back Into Your Life.
You may look like you have it all together: accomplished, capable, reliable. Inside, there is a steady loop of “what ifs” replaying conversations, and a body that never fully relaxes, and most people around you would never guess you are anxious. You are still doing it all; you just want to manage the anxiety instead of letting it run the show.
Therapy can help.
Through our work together, you will find yourself:
- Spending more of your day present (and less time replaying conversations or planning for worst-case scenarios)
- Setting boundaries and not second-guessing them afterward
- Noticing fewer physical symptoms like a racing heart, tight chest, or stomach tension
- Relying less on caffeine or “push through” mode to get through the week
- Feeling comfortable easing off unhelpful habits and experimenting with new routines
- Tracking progress in simple ways (e.g., shifting from “in my head 90% of the time” to “present most of the day”)
“It felt like we were just talking,
until I realized something had shifted.”
— NYC client
Hi, I’m Dr. Paulette Didia.
Therapy is part of my personal story as well as my profession. I know what it is like to not have a steady place for all of your feelings to land, and I also know how painful it is when help does not quite meet you where you are. I became a psychologist to offer the kind of warm, grounded, conversational space I wish I had earlier in life: a space where your thoughts and emotions are taken seriously and you do not have to carry everything alone.
Many of my clients are polished overthinkers who look steady on the outside while dealing with a constant loop of what-ifs, people-pleasing, second-guessing, and a body that will not fully settle. You power through, live on coffee, and promise yourself you will rest after the next milestone. You want fewer spirals, better sleep, boundaries that stick, and to feel present for the life you have worked hard to build.
Here is how we work together: we slow the pace just enough to see what is fueling the anxiety, then go underneath it. The quick, in-the-moment strategies are like a bandage; they matter, and we will use them. But our deeper work is about finding and treating the wound itself, so you are not endlessly patching the same spot. Sessions often feel like a natural conversation until, little by little, you notice that you are responding differently, worrying less, and feeling more at ease. That is therapy doing its quiet work.
It is a personalized approach for people who get things done but cannot turn off the mental hum, so you can set real boundaries, feel more grounded in your body, and use tools that make sense in daily life.
